About The Position

We here at the Gustave A Larson Company are looking our next team member to join us as a Driver / Warehouse Attendant. We are an HVAC/R wholesale distributor throughout the Midwest and the Mountain States. We learn & understand the entire business - part of our training program involves learning and understanding from the beginning how our business operates - you will spend time initially learning the warehouse systems and forklifts, but also learn what we expect from customer service, wills calls, and supporting the entire branch organization so you have a solid foundation in your role.

Requirements

  • CDL B or higher is required.
  • Experience driving Box Trucks and more.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Counter Sales Representative or customer service experience, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of a Class B CDL
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift driving or warehouse experience
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, creative, customer-focused professional.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and provides accuracy and timeliness.
  • Individual must be flexible with changes in work schedule, willing to work overtime and be on-call occasionally on weekends (this is an additional pay opportunity).
  • Must Have Your FedMed Card
  • Individual must be able to meet mobility requirements which include walking, standing, reaching, leaning forward, bending, climbing, and able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be skilled in verbal and written communication and have sufficient education to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have basic math skills and able to perform or learn the requirements of the job within the assigned learning period.
  • Required to accept and follow all safety rules and policies, including the use of all mandated safety protective equipment.
  • Individual must agree to take pre-employment drug test and background check and comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the warehouse manager in the operation of the daily deliveries of product around the local area.
  • Assist in the load and unload of trucks at both the warehouse and to our customers.
  • Operating Forklifts (sit down, Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, etc)
  • Pulling product for Will Calls
  • Organizing truck loads to their proper locations when trucks are received
  • Using RF scanning technology for locating/picking product
  • Stocking small parts as needed
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers to maximize space and ensure safety without damage to products
  • Support the entire branch organization
