About The Position

This position involves applying metal to customer orders and accurately processing material according to work order specifications using advanced machinery or a high level of skill with warehouse machinery. The role requires ensuring processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition, and the processing area is kept clean, safe, and orderly. Accurate completion of all required information entry is essential. This role is situated directly on the warehouse floor, working on or around heavy machinery. The position meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies.

Requirements

High school diploma / GED
1 to 2 years machine operation experience
Ability to read and write
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Perform basic math skills
Use of handheld measuring tools
Safety Mindset.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse experience - especially in the metals industry
Previous forklift experience
Computer literate

Responsibilities

Perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, washing, stocking and inspection of cartons, pallets, or parts as assigned to support the operation.
Assist in filling and packaging orders and completing paperwork according to instructions.
Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move/deliver stock.
Assist machine operators with a variety of functions as required to support the operation.
Perform general clean-up activities.
Maintain all equipment in working condition; report issues or breakdowns to Supervisor or Lead immediately.
Train others when required.
Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
