About The Position

The Technician handles, consolidates, and processes hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials received by the Processing Facilities. The role requires a focus on safety and efficiency in a team environment while performing moderately labor-intensive and repetitive tasks.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Previous experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to perform moderately labor-intensive and repetitive tasks.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift more than 50 pounds and stand on cement for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• CDL B is highly preferred but not required.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process waste in a timely and safe manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Ensure incoming waste conforms with acceptance protocol.
• Operate processing machinery and equipment as required.
• Follow safe operating procedures at all times.
• Complete paperwork properly and ensure it is submitted.
• Complete job hazard risk assessments.
• Promote a safety culture with all employees.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Perform general shop cleanup and maintenance.
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required.
