About The Position

The Warehouse Associate receives, stores, moves, and distributes materials. The role involves interpreting schedules and orders to determine what items need to be moved or gathered, transporting materials between receiving or production areas and designated locations, sorting and storing items, and assembling customer orders for packing or shipping. The position may involve work in non-climate-controlled environments and regular lifting or moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience.
• Ability to perform operations using units of American currency and measurements of weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to complete duties in standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to use hands; sit, reach, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear.
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, move, and distribute materials.
• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine which items to move, gather, or distribute.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to a packing station or shipping department.
