About The Position

California Closets is hiring a Warehouse Associate at its company-owned Reno, Nevada location. The role receives shipments of custom cabinetry products and hardware, checks quantities and condition, records receiving information in the company database, organizes stock, and monitors inventory. Associates also prepare products for storage or shipment, return damaged items, and help load products into trucks. Paid on-the-job training is provided to candidates with the right skill set and attitude. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility needed. Pay is $19–$22 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Basic math and organization skills.
Inventory management experience.
Ability to work on feet for an entire shift.
Understanding of safety protocols and requirements.
Ability to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification.
Experience shipping, receiving, or working in a warehouse.
Experience working with woodworking machines such as a saw, router, or drill press.

Responsibilities

Receive and put away inventory.
Load product into trucks.
Sort and organize products.
Inspect inventory for conformance to company standards.
Operate a forklift to move and store inventory.
Stage products.
Control and manage inventory.
Unload and unpack shipments of custom cabinetry products and hardware; inspect quantities and condition, report damages or shortages, and enter receiving data into the company database.
Prepare and organize received stock for inventory and return damaged products to senders.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
