About The Position

Article is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate for its Richmond warehouse. The role involves unloading boxed furniture from containers and trucks, organizing and moving warehouse stock, picking and packing furniture, and staging outgoing orders for home delivery partners. Associates also process returned items by cleaning or otherwise preparing them to be returned to stock, and help maintain a safe and clean facility.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, for 40 hours per week. The position is based at 1660 Ashton Park Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, and pays $21 per hour. The role reports to Damon Mclendon.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of warehouse experience.
• Able to routinely lift 50 pounds of merchandise independently.
• Able to speak and read English.
• Able to stand for most of the shift.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Reliable and ready to work; follows instructions and learns quickly.
• Team-oriented, with a safety-minded approach to all tasks.
• Comfortable using handheld scanners, computers, and other tools.
• Legally able to work in the United States.
• Must complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test; THC is not tested.
• Must complete a criminal background check. Article follows the Fair Chance Act and considers qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack pre-boxed furniture.
• Unload inbound containers and trucks.
• Move stock around the warehouse.
• Stage outgoing orders for home delivery partners.
• Process returned items by cleaning or otherwise preparing them to be returned to stock.
• Promote a safe and clean environment across the facility.
• Complete other duties as required.
