Warehouse Associate – 1st Shift M-F 7:30am-3:30pm Starting pay $17.50/hr
About The Position
As a warehouse associate, you’ll be part of our team located in Brewster, NY. You’ll get to identify and pull parts from inventory, including consignment locations. Prepare items for shipment following all standard operating procedures and data processing, performing error-free transactions. Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and pro-actively identify opportunities to improve processes in your area. Prepare for cycle counting and understands transfers/restocking. Operates hand held scan guns while picking orders for shipping. Escalate safety issues to your supervisor and/or EH&S coordinator. Inspect equipment used as required per policy and do not use unsafe equipment.
Requirements
- Basic Math and computer skills.
- Must demonstrate personal drive and willingness to accept responsibility.

- Ability to learn quickly and adjust to a rapidly changing environment.
- Results and deadline oriented.
- Respect for people and ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
- If lifting and moving boxes, etc. over 40 lbs. assistance is needed.
Nice To Haves
- Understand Haz Mat Labeling preferred
- Complete training for loading a truck
- Knowledgeable on Export Orders preferred
- Some experience in shipping or a warehouse environment preferred
- Forklift Operation experience especially with stand up Raymond trucks
- Experience with systems (WMS preferred)
