Warehouse Automation Associate
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate receives, verifies, packages, stages, loads, unloads, and moves products and materials in the warehouse. The role includes quality control to ensure damaged products are not shipped and damaged materials are not accepted. Associates operate powered industrial trucks and follow standard operating procedures and OSHA safety standards while maintaining clean work areas. The position is based in Katy and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 4:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The warehouse is fast-paced and may involve varied hours, mandatory physical inventory, and work in hot, cold, or dusty conditions. Requirements
- At least 2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Punctuality and excellent attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency operating powered industrial trucks, including reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down propane forklifts.
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle small parts.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and walk and stand for long periods.
Nice To Haves
- Current powered industrial truck certification.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and package products for shipping, including shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
- Stage products for loading.
- Load products onto trucks.
- Unload materials from trucks.
- Move materials into the warehouse for storage.
- Move waste to dumpsters.
- Perform quality control, ensuring damaged products are not sent out and damaged materials are not accepted.
- Follow standard operating procedures, OSHA safety standards, and established processes.
- Operate powered industrial trucks, including stand-up trucks, reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down propane forklifts.
- Complete daily powered industrial truck logs.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
