Warehouse Associate
About The Position
Metropolitan Warehouse is hiring full-time Warehouse Associates to load and unload furniture and other packages in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role includes manually sorting packages of varying sizes and weights; lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, staging, and wrapping merchandise; helping verify inventory quantities and maintain inventory levels; and performing other warehouse duties as needed. Associates must operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Shifts may vary based on package volume and business needs, and the role may require working past the scheduled quitting time or on weekends to meet operational needs. The position involves frequent physical activity, including lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance; standing and walking for extended periods; pushing and pulling loaded wheeled carts or pallet jacks; frequent bending, stooping, reaching overhead, and repetitive tasks; and handling small or delicate items with precision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of previous warehouse experience desired.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with heavy furniture.
- Reliable attendance.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work past quitting time when needed to complete the job.
- Detailed record keeping.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to push and pull wheeled carts or pallet jacks loaded with merchandise.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently.
- Physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Manual dexterity to handle and manipulate small parts or delicate items with precision.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when necessary to address urgent operational needs.
Nice To Haves

- Previous forklift certification or experience.
