About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works in Cardinal Health’s Saint Charles pharmaceutical distribution facility, performing manual and automated tasks involved in receiving, storing, fulfilling, and shipping products. The role supports the efficient flow of products from vendors to internal and external customers so healthcare providers can obtain products needed to care for patients. Training is provided starting on the first day, and candidates with little to no warehouse experience are welcome. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday nights, from 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. or until the work is finished. Overtime varies with business needs. The pay rate is $21.67 per hour, including the shift differential. The position is not bonus eligible.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting performance quotas and attendance requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with technologies such as computers or point-of-sale systems.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality-control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as assigned by a manager or other member of management.
Perform housekeeping and inventory-control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Train and obtain certification to operate material-handling equipment as required by job duties.
