About The Position

The Warehouse Associate strives to exceed customer expectations by ensuring orders are available, accurate, salable, and received in a timely manner. The position performs order fulfillment tasks accurately, efficiently, and safely while meeting customer expectations. Essential functions must be performed satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. The associate picks and checks orders, packs shipments, manifests packages, expedites special-handling orders, and processes current or new client orders. The role also involves maintaining an organized, clean, and safe warehouse; using assigned equipment; meeting performance metrics; and handling hazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs according to company procedures and applicable regulations. The role uses general warehouse and office equipment, MS Office, shipping software, and proprietary inventory management software. It may require training and certification to operate forklifts, including sit-down, Cherry picker, and Joey forklifts. The work involves frequent movement, reaching, bending, stooping, exposure to dust, and lifting and carrying up to 55 pounds, with team lifts for 56 to 100 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds and team lift 56 to 100 pounds.
Ability to move frequently and to grasp, reach, bend, and stoop in narrow or confined spaces.
Ability to sit or stand continuously, use hands continuously, and occasionally or frequently stoop, bend, crawl, and ascend or descend a ladder.
May be required to train and certify in the use of forklifts, including sit-down, Cherry picker, and/or Joey forklifts.

Responsibilities

Pick products from fulfillment center stock according to wave pick lists and organize them on carts.
Pull warehouse items from shelves according to number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements.
Operate scanners as needed to pick orders and manage inventory accurately.
Verify picked items against invoices, including manufacturer name, item number, description, quantity, and acceptable expiration dates for time-sensitive products.
Verify all invoiced items have been picked and included components are present.
Count items, check quantities against invoices, match shipping labels to invoice information, and select appropriate packaging, fill, and labels.
Follow regulatory guidelines when packing regulated items and create shipping papers for packages containing hazardous materials when needed.
Manifest packages by weighing them, selecting transportation, checking labels, scanning information, and applying shipping labels; verify and correct non-conforming auto-manifested packages.
Process orders requiring special handling as requested by branch personnel, sales staff, or end users.
Fulfill current or new client orders to support customer satisfaction.
Conduct business according to Patterson Companies' code of ethics and conduct and align with its Purpose, Vision, and Values.
Use assigned warehouse equipment and machinery, and meet or exceed assigned performance metrics and KPIs.
Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse.
Handle hazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs according to company procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
Perform work in accordance with company safety guidelines and procedures and safety and regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
