About The Position

As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll be part of our Shelbyville Operational team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to complete PIV inspection paperwork before using PIV, complete weekly dock inspections, and complete SAP transactions for shipping and receiving as necessary. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of stock, labeling products, and conducting regular inventory audits. Additionally, you will place materials in designated locations, organize storage areas for efficient retrieval, and maintain a clean workspace. You will distribute and deliver materials to machines on the machine shop floor, unload incoming materials, verify quantity and quality, and check for damages. You will receive incoming material (Raw, MRO, Maintenance, Engineering, Office, etc.) and disperse appropriately. Working with other departments to locate materials, resolve discrepancies, and support production needs is also part of the role. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and preparing materials for production or shipment according to orders, and operating PIV’s or other equipment to move materials within the facility. You will understand and follow the Shelbyville site’s environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with your work activities. Any other related duties as required or assigned will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must pass Stanley Black & Decker Powered Industrial Truck certification
  • Must be able to relate to and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Must have proper documentation skills
  • Must be able to work from a general assignment with little or no directions from others
  • Must be goal oriented and self-motivated with high energy levels and the ability to multi-task
  • Must be reliable and flexible with hours worked including weekends and overtime
  • Must maintain 5S standards

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of SAP is a plus
