About The Position

Würth Baer Supply Company is searching for a Warehouse Associate for our Distribution Center in Bensenville, IL. Join our growing and dynamic team and help us in receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. This role involves fulfilling large orders of plywood, which is a physical role due to the heavy materials. The associate will operate a sit-down propane forklift, process orders, handle inbound and outbound shipments, and assist customers. The company is a leading specialty wholesale distributor to the woodworking industry with a significant annual revenue and global backing.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
1+ year of warehouse experience (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, loading/unloading trucks)
Good communication skills
Basic computer knowledge
Sit-down forklift experience (propane variety)
Proficient operating a sit-down propane forklift

Nice To Haves

Ability to pick up/drag heavy pieces of plywood (up to 90lbs or more) without damaging them.
Comfortable with the physicality of the role, including lifting up to 70 pounds.
Ability to stand for 3 to 4 hours at a time.
Ability to withstand fluctuating temperature changes.
Ability to quickly learn new systems.
Excellent work ethic.
Ability to excel in a quick-paced environment.
Okay with shifting job duties.

Responsibilities

Fulfilling/picking large orders of plywood (4'x8' to 5'x12') which can weigh 90lbs or more, including picking, dragging, stacking on pallets, strapping, staging, and loading into trucks.
Processing orders, locating products, processing returns, and performing on-foot and vehicular order picking.
Driving a sit-down forklift to transfer wood board products to pallets for staging or loading.
Processing outbound orders in the LTL shipping area, verifying quantities and item condition before loading onto trucks.
Processing inbound delivery receipts, matching products to receipts, and noting discrepancies or damages.
Working in a team environment on various inbound and outbound warehouse duties.
Operating a sit-down forklift and learning to drive other material handling vehicles.
Assisting customers with loading their orders onto their vehicles.
Assisting with general warehouse responsibilities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
Performing other duties as assigned.
