About The Position

The Warehouse Associate handles the off-loading, put-away, picking, and staging of equipment and parts while providing professional customer service to internal and external customers. The role is accountable for moving materials throughout the warehouse and maintaining its appearance while following safety protocols. Work is performed under close supervision using established procedures and well-defined instructions.

Requirements

At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and surroundings.
Basic computer skills, including data entry to process transactions and generate reports and orders.
Ability to process products, including loading and unloading.
Ability to operate a forklift safely and work in a fast-paced warehouse.
Ability to pass a Prove It test and driving test.
Must be eligible to obtain in-house forklift certification within 30 days.
Ability to understand and follow work instructions, policies, and procedures.
Dependability, ability to work well in a team, and ability to establish positive working relationships with employees and customers.
Ability to work in a warehouse that is not climate controlled.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds, repeatedly lift lighter items, or perform two-person lifts for heavier items.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of industrial forklift experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transfer materials and products within the warehouse and to or from delivery trucks without causing damage.
Receive items according to procedure and stock them in assigned locations.
Maintain inventory and prepare cycle counts.
Complete will calls.
Complete paperwork and transaction entries accurately and on time.
Wear required personal protective equipment and uniform throughout each shift.
Maintain the warehouse and forklift using good housekeeping and safety procedures, including pre- and post-shift forklift inspections, and promptly alert the manager to concerns.
Assist customers and customer service representatives as needed.
Follow standard operating procedures, established work processes, and company policies.
Perform additional tasks as required.
