About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations by crating, pulling products, unloading trucks, and preparing orders for shipment. The associate ensures orders are filled accurately and that cartons are structurally sound and suitable for sale by inspecting, repairing, resealing, or reboxing them as needed. The role also includes consolidating products on storage racks, maintaining equipment and the warehouse, and participating in safety programs. The position is permanent, based at 1274 Industrial Blvd, Jasper, TN 37347, and works first shift Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Base pay is $17.25 per hour. No experience is necessary, though mechanical aptitude is helpful. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Basic knowledge of the shipping process is helpful.
Good eye-hand coordination and excellent manual dexterity, including skill using hand and electrical tools.
Ability to read and comprehend numbers.
Ability to lift up to 86 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist, and lift 87 to 100 pounds with assistance.
Detail-oriented, with good communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.
Ability to separate product by profiling color.
Proficiency with a claw hammer, pneumatic nail gun, pneumatic bander, and electric skill saw.
Willingness to obtain a license to operate motorized equipment.
Must use safety glasses and ear plugs as instructed.

Responsibilities

Assist with warehouse operations, including crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks.
Load loose cartons into trucks to ensure stability during shipment.
Collect wood product for crate setup and construction.
Build wooden crates around cartons in preparation for flatbed shipment.
Repair or reseal damaged cartons and rebox products when necessary.
Consolidate accessory and siding products on storage racks when needed.
Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment.
Perform warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Attend scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, if necessary.
Perform basic duties of a Warehouse Associate 2 at times, based on ability and experience.
Maintain an accurate daily time card and calculate hours weekly.
Participate in applicable plant safety programs.
Perform duties safely according to applicable Health and Safety Manuals, use required personal protective equipment, and promptly report unsafe conditions.
