About The Position

The purpose of the Warehouse Associate is to perform a variety of tasks efficiently, safely, and accurately to ensure customer service excellence. This role involves verifying, receiving, and putting away incoming stock, as well as pulling, packing, staging, and shipping outgoing orders and transfers. The associate will also assist customers with orders and returns, operate handheld scanners for inventory tracking, and aid management with inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety certifications, and participating in training are also key aspects of the position. The role may also involve after-hours training, on-call duties, and overtime as assigned. The associate is expected to work cooperatively with others, comply with company policies, and maintain reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
  • The employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year forklift experience preferred
  • 1 year warehouse experience preferred
  • 1 year customer service experience preferred
  • Proficient in computer and inventory systems, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Verify, receive and put away incoming stock
  • Pull, pack, stage and ship outgoing orders and transfers
  • Assist customers with orders, as needed
  • Assist customers in processing returns of warranty items and stock items
  • Operate handheld scanners to receive, move and track inventory in and out of the facility
  • Assist management with inventory accuracy, including cycle count and physical inventory
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and common areas to ensure an orderly and safe work environment
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs
  • Participate in after-hours Training classes
  • May be asked to participate in on-call duties, as needed
  • Work overtime as assigned
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain regular, punctual and reliable physical attendance
