About The Position

The Warehouse Associate performs general warehouse duties during the 1st shift, scheduled from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The role includes handling and protecting furniture, tracking inventory, loading and unloading trucks and containers, maintaining an organized and safe warehouse, inspecting products for damage, and using material handling equipment. The employee may be assigned other duties as needed and must follow applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Conversational English.
Proficiency with warehouse hardware, including handheld scanners and Apple and Android handheld devices.
Familiarity with company software for basic communication and reporting, including email, Slack, and spreadsheets.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of warehouse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Arrive at the work area by the scheduled start time and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Follow company policies, procedures, and SOPs for assigned tasks.
Help keep the warehouse clean and organized, and participate in projects that support a safe work environment.
Inform management of safety hazards, workplace challenges, and time-off requests.
Assist coworkers as needed and perform other tasks assigned by a manager or supervisor.
Use proper furniture handling and protection methods, including wrapping materials, lifting techniques, and material handling equipment.
Use basic scanner functions to track inventory movement.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers, handling and protecting items safely and scanning inventory accurately.
Visually inspect products during distribution to identify damage and blemishes.
Operate an Order Picker forklift after completing provided training.
Identify inventory SKU and serial number (S/N) designations and use material handling equipment properly.
Submit accurate time cards using the ADP payroll app.
