About The Position

As a Warehouse Associate at Index Industries, you will expertly manage incoming products, fulfill orders, skillfully pack and ship items, and ensure the warehouse grounds operate smoothly and safely, all while playing a vital role within our dynamic team! This role involves learning inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics operations within a warehouse environment.

Requirements

Possesses a valid driver’s license and DMV printout
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and work with enthusiasm
Possesses strong written/verbal communication skills
Demonstrates strong organizational and mathematical skills

Nice To Haves

1+ year(s) of working experience within a warehouse or similar environment
Strong familiarity with modern warehouse practices and/or methods of operation
Experience with counting scales within a warehouse environment

Responsibilities

Manage incoming products
Fulfill orders
Pack and ship items
Ensure warehouse grounds operate smoothly and safely
Shadow and learn the order selection process, how to properly package customer orders, and identify multiple shipment methods
Proficiently handle packing for all products and be comfortable with UPS and small shipments
Independently assemble and pack all customer orders, knowing the warehouse layout, where parts are stored, and the process while pulling and replenishing parts after fulfilling orders
Take on increasingly more complex orders from customers that require specific packaging, labeling, etc.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks including unloading trucks and processing item receiving following Index Industries procedures
Learn the checking-off process for LTL (Less-than-truckload) shipments through shadowing
Work successfully in a fast-paced environment
Complete assigned facilities maintenance duties
Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment while ensuring proper maintenance
