PLS Warehouse Associate, PM Shift
About The Position
Crawford Electric Supply is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Katy. The role supports warehouse operations for an electrical distributor, handling products and materials from receipt through storage and shipment. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Work takes place in a fast-paced warehouse environment and involves operating powered industrial trucks, maintaining quality and safety standards, and keeping work areas clean. Requirements
- At least 2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Punctuality and excellent attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency operating powered industrial trucks, including reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down propane forklifts.
- Manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle small parts.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work mandatory physical inventory.
- Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environments and dusty conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Current powered industrial truck certification.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and package products for shipping, including shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
- Stage products for loading and load products onto trucks.
- Unload truck materials and move materials into the warehouse for storage.
- Move waste to dumpsters.
- Perform quality control to ensure damaged products are not shipped and damaged materials are not accepted.
- Follow standard operating procedures, OSHA safety standards, and company processes.
- Operate powered industrial trucks, including stand-up trucks, reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down propane forklifts.
- Complete daily powered industrial truck logs.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
