About The Position

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Warehouse Associates help keep operations running smoothly by receiving, organizing, and safely loading materials. The role is part of a fast-paced, hands-on team focused on integrity, reliability, and career growth. Associates provide service to warehouse customers; maintain product knowledge; receive, organize, move, and load materials; keep the warehouse orderly and safe; and participate in inventories and required training. The position also includes minor building maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience and/or training.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping, and manipulation.
• Ability to occasionally operate a forklift or similar equipment for multiple hours a day.
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry approximately 100 pounds using proper lifting procedures.
• Additional physical requirements may apply as duties are assigned.

Nice To Haves

• Building supply warehouse experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to customers entering the warehouse and maintain a high level of customer focus.
• Maintain a full understanding of products, including their identification, weight, and size.
• Perform minor building maintenance when necessary.
• Receive, organize, and move incoming materials, and load outgoing materials.
• Allocate and move materials to their correct locations and keep the warehouse orderly.
• Maintain packing specifications and make suitable skids or pallets.
• Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA requirements.
• Use proper lifting techniques and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing.
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
