Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift

About The Position

Warehouse Associate in Cardinal Health’s Warehouse Operations, responsible for manual and automated tasks that support receiving, storage, and shipment of products. The role includes ensuring efficient product flow from receipt from vendors through shipment to internal and external customers, while meeting established distribution quotas, performance standards, quality guidelines, and safety requirements. Associates are cross-trained in multiple warehouse areas, including Inbound, ValueLink, and Outbound, and work under moderate supervision with routine review of their output. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, generally 6:00 PM–2:30 AM or until work is completed, with a 4:00 PM start on Sundays. Mandatory overtime applies, and employees must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice. The posted pay rate is $22.11 per hour, including shift differential; the role is not bonus eligible.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
One to two years of related experience preferred.
Previous material handling experience strongly preferred.
RF scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience highly preferred.
Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds and bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for an entire shift of eight hours or more.
Ability to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas.
Ability to work at heights up to 25 feet consistently.
Follow site safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed safety shoes and a material handling equipment safety harness; comply with Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and procedures.
Aptitude for working in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting hourly quotas and performance standards.

Responsibilities

Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas, including Inbound, ValueLink, and Outbound.
Receive large boxes at the warehouse dock, scan products with an RF scanner, and enter product information into a computer.
Break down product cases and operate heavy equipment to replenish the warehouse.
Use a voice-to-pick system and material handling equipment to pick large-case items, or pick small-unit items and place them on a cart.
Palletize large items on skids and wrap them for shipment.
Pack small items in boxes.
Drive material handling equipment as required, including order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.
Meet hourly distribution quotas and performance standards while adhering to quality guidelines and site safety procedures.
