About The Position

The Warehouse Associate supports shipping and receiving operations by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, processing orders, and moving, sorting, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse. The role includes maintaining accurate records of inventory received and distributed, helping with physical inventory counts, and keeping the warehouse safe, accessible, and orderly. Facilities maintenance duties may also be assigned as needed.

• Able to keep accurate records and track incoming and outgoing stock to help maintain steady inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing merchandise to sales associates for processing.
• Break down PMCs and load and unload containers.
• Maintain CFS files.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• File requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items, and distribute items to shipping or designated route-driver storage areas.
• Keep the warehouse accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or move them to a holding area or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information using an appropriate method.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record materials or items received or distributed using the appropriate computer program.
• Assist with physical inventory counts.
• Weigh and count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance with company standards.
• Perform facilities maintenance duties as assigned.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• Sweep, dust, and mop; organize the warehouse and work area to maintain orderliness.
