About The Position

We are a contract precision maintenance jobshop that services and repairs both large and small process critical gearboxes for a variety of industries. Since 1988 Atlanta Gear Works has been a leader in gearing, gearbox repair, field machining and inspections all over the US. We are looking for great people who want to learn a new skill. We offer hands on training to grow your career as a machinist or assembly mechanic. Plenty of room for growth. The schedule will consist of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday - 4pm to 2:30am.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is required.
This is an entry level position.
Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Must undergo pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

Technical School training is a plus.
Experience with correctly using high precision measuring instruments (such as veneer, micrometers OD & ID, depth gauge, etc.) in measurements of a thousandth is a huge plus.
