About The Position

The Distribution Center Associate supports daily warehouse operations in a high-volume distribution center. This role is responsible for accurately picking, packing, assembling, and handling materials to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center experience
  • Experience with RF scanners, WMS, or production metrics
  • Material handling equipment experience (pallet jack, forklift – certification a plus)
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to schedules
  • Ability to work safely and keep area clean
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate clearly, concisely and achieve intended objectives
  • Ability to work assigned shift and remain awake and alert during assigned shift is required
  • Reporting to work for assigned shift, maintaining a physical presence and performing assigned work for the duration of assigned shift is required

Responsibilities

  • Pick customer orders using RF scanners, pick tickets, or warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Accurately pack orders to company specifications, ensuring product protection and correct labeling
  • Meet or exceed productivity, accuracy, and quality metrics in a fast-paced environment
  • Load, unload, move, and stage inventory throughout the distribution center
  • Safely handle materials using fork trucks (forklifts), pallet jacks, carts, conveyors, and other warehouse equipment
  • Operate material handling equipment in accordance with safety policies and training requirements
  • Maintain organized work areas and properly store inventory in assigned locations
  • Perform light assembly and labeling of products per work instructions
  • Assemble cartons, display units, or product components as required for outbound shipments
  • Ensure assembled products meet quality and packaging standards
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies
  • Identify and report damaged inventory, equipment issues, or safety hazards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S practices)
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily volume goals
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and replenishment as needed
  • Support cross-training across multiple functions within the distribution center
