About The Position

BrightFarms is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform various business-critical tasks in the shipping, receiving, storage, and movement of materials within a large-scale greenhouse production facility. This role involves handling inbound shipments of packaging materials, growing inputs, and hazardous cleaning materials, as well as internal movement of goods for daily production and storage of finished products. The associate will also assist in waste disposal and prepare outbound shipments. The position requires extensive forklift operation, adherence to safety and food safety procedures, and potential use of computer equipment and software. A key part of the role includes performing inventory cycle counts, implementing inventory controls, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, inspecting equipment, and communicating openly with supervisors and coworkers to implement process changes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience operating powered equipment to load, unload and move materials.
  • Knowledge of GMP/GWP
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Must be a team player and show attention to detail
  • Must be able to work with moderate supervision

Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices safety, conduct, sanitation, and good housekeeping.
  • Demonstrate an operational excellence in shipping, receiving, and storing of materials.
  • Achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction through proper auditing of materials received, shipped, and stored.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts, verifications and reconciliations as required.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
  • Ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate and recorded in a timely manner.
  • Interface with 3PL providers to answer questions or solve problems.
  • Maintain item records, documents, and utilize reports to project warehouse status in the system.
  • Review and coordinate activities with other departments and leadership.
  • Keep the work area clean and perform housekeeping and sanitation on equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
