About The Position

The Warehouse Associate performs essential job functions related to maintaining the warehouse and facilities. This includes ensuring a neat and safe environment, managing deliveries, performing general maintenance, handling machinery, preparing items for shipment, and adhering to all company policies and safety procedures. The role requires attention to detail in logging items, inspecting shipments, and documenting safety findings. The associate will also be responsible for general cleaning tasks and ensuring supplies are stocked.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years’ experience in warehouse/storage/loading dock/facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
  • Monitoring buildings and grounds to ensure a neat, clean presentation and environment in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
  • Get deliveries and accurately log and distribute items.
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Load/Unload machines from trucks utilizing overhead cranes or forklift.
  • Crate/uncrate machines.
  • Move machines into/out of display areas.
  • Assemble/disassemble machines.
  • Prepare and protect machines for shipment.
  • Replace light bulbs, clean light fixtures, replace soiled ceiling tiles.
  • Maintain door locks, correct basic door lock issues and door opening/closing issues.
  • Patching minor holes and cracks in walls, and ceilings.
  • Touch up painting structures, equipment, doors, windows, etc.
  • Keeping walkways clean, snow and ice removal as required, graffiti removal, power washing.
  • Replacing exterior lights not to exceed 10 ft.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming all floors as needed.
  • Cleaning up metal shavings and/ or wood pieces.
  • Collecting trash (as needed) for dumpster pickup weekly including cigarette disposal units.
  • Ensures all cleaning supplies stay stocked and in their appropriate areas.
  • Shipping/receiving/incoming inspection.
  • Examine incoming UPS/FED EX/DHL shipments.
  • Reject damaged items, and appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
  • Log and email report of items received.
  • Place materials on shelves or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner using identifying tags or labels.
  • Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures, wears protective equipment as required to meet or exceed OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) and company requirements.
  • Performs Safety inspection and documents finding along with developing corrective action.
  • Reports emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately and reports the need for any major repairs to management.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
