Warehouse Associate - Distribution Center
About The Position
Warehouse associates are responsible for incoming and outgoing products and orders. The role includes inspecting pallets to ensure products match their SKUs, maintaining accurate inventory records, following invoicing and pick-up procedures, and safely helping customers load orders. Associates maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse, manage inventory and report discrepancies, receive and inspect products, and process stock orders and branch transfers. Depending on the location, duties may overlap with Customer Service or Showroom Sales Representative roles, including answering product or order questions and handling order entry, fulfillment, and shipping and receiving tasks. Employees follow company policies and safety procedures, attend safety meetings, and provide professional customer service.
Requirements
- Excellent phone, email, and computer skills.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with willingness to take the extra step.
- Possess a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
- Manage inventory, conduct cycle counts, and assist with corporate inventory counts.
- Report inventory discrepancies to the branch manager.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading vehicles and follow proper invoicing protocol.
- Follow receiving procedures, including thorough product inspections.
- Maintain the warehouse breakage list and report it to the branch manager weekly.
- Inspect forklifts and other warehouse equipment daily and report issues to the warehouse lead or branch manager.
- Communicate with customer service staff about order discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, signage, and stock in the Factory Outlet and slab yard, if applicable.
- Assist clients with questions about products or orders.
- Pull stock orders and branch transfers and process them in a timely manner.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols and instructions; attend safety meetings and help conduct safety inspections.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Multitask and prioritize work through effective time management.
- Work cooperatively in a team environment and follow company policies, procedures, goals, and directives.
- Perform other duties required of the position.
- Where duties overlap with customer service or showroom sales, learn current and new product lines; enter orders, follow up on back-orders, invoice orders, and follow pick-up procedures; and follow pulling, packing, strapping, staging, unloading, shipping, and receiving protocols.
