About The Position

The Warehouse Associate works in the Production department at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center’s Canoga Park warehouse, supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program. The role contributes to an effective warehouse operation and a positive shopping and donor experience through product processing, quality assurance, safe handling, and teamwork. The position is part-time and pays $18.42 per hour. Work schedules are determined by management; the warehouse may operate six days per week, and part-time associates may be scheduled for any part-time shift, including weekends and holidays. Employees must remain flexible to help ensure adequate coverage.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in the relevant skill area through verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive-motion tasks.
• Flexibility to work assigned part-time shifts to ensure adequate coverage, including weekends and holidays when scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Sort products efficiently and properly according to Salvation Army policy.
• Inspect products for defects and damage as part of quality assurance.
• Identify products and direct them to the proper department for processing.
• Collect merchandise from the distribution center and transport materials safely.
• Follow safety measures established by Salvation Army policy and government regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality as needed for the operation of the program.
• Obtain written supervisor approval for any overtime, with the supervisor’s initials recorded on the timecard beside the overtime hours.
• Perform other written or verbal duties assigned by the Production Manager, Administrator, or their designated representative.
