About The Position

WQ Mount Sterling is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join a skilled manufacturing team working in the Garbage Truck/Container industry. This role serves as a dual role to keep operations running smoothly by picking orders as well as completing the shipping release and packing of orders. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be required to accurately select products from assigned locations and distribute the goods to the packing department. Shift hours are 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with an hourly pay of $17.50 plus a $2 shift differential.

Requirements

• Ability to work as a team player and assist other departments as required.
• Assist in any other special projects, as needed and participate in processes to improve quality and increase efficiency or productivity.
• Ability to unload, check-in, count and sort incoming products to verify receipt of items on bill of lading and Packing Lists.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be 18 or over.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience a plus
• Experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Environment

Responsibilities

• Handling and delivery of raw material and parts to other departments including shipping, loading and receiving.
• Reading batch sheets/customer order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Counting, weighing, measuring, or examining packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications.
• Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets or shelves or conveying orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Comparing items packed with customer's order and other identifying data.
• Using computer to enter records.
• Examining stock and shipment details to verify conformance to Vendor Compliance.
• Assisting with proper product procedures, such as bagging, labeling, and boxing.
• Fastening postage to outbound packages.
• Ability to work overtime if required.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
