About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the day-to-day tasks related to inbound and outbound operations, including receiving, order selecting, unloading, loading, put-aways, replenishments, and sanitation. Requirements

  • High School Diploma from an accredited school or general education development (GED) certificate.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to operate all types of warehouse machinery, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, long and short pallet jacks, manual jacks, computers, copiers, and other business equipment
  • Ability to work with a diverse population
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others
  • Ability to work on and adapt to multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Able to work cooperatively and coordinate well with other departments, partners, and neighbors
  • Proactive self-starter who is self-motivated to contribute to the team
  • Strong time-management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Is legally able to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food warehousing, retail, or food distribution preferred
  • Must complete HFB Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) training and certification within 30 days of hire date

Responsibilities

  • Reliable, consistent, attendance is a requirement.
  • This position requires punctuality and dependable attendance to meet the needs of the business, including attending and taking part in meetings and presentations.
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensures warehouse procedures, guidelines, and policies are met.
  • Complies with food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Efficiently operates computer systems with minimal direction.
  • Ensures product is received, unloaded, loaded, and stored securely packed and accurately labeled.
  • Meets the minimum department productivity expectations.
  • Identifies overages and missing or damaged products.
  • Fulfills order selections and completes put-aways and replenishments.
  • Inspects incoming products, labels them, and prepares them for shipping or storage.
  • Assists in reconciling and maintaining an accurate inventory by accurately selecting orders and not damaging product.
  • Communicates efficiently with management and teammates.
  • Assists with training new employees.

Benefits

  • Starting Pay: $18.50 - $20.50
