About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely handling shipments, properly caring for inventory, and following safe practices and standard work procedures. The role includes inspecting units for quality, loading and unloading caskets, operating powered equipment, and performing other warehouse duties as needed. The position may be designated safety-sensitive because powered-equipment operation can affect the safety of the employee, coworkers, and/or the public. Travel is not required.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to drive a truck within facility confines and learn how to spot trailers.
• Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills, and team player.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including any days, shifts, and weekends, to meet customer demand.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move miscellaneous equipment and product weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 100 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear regularly; and occasionally climb, bend, kneel, crouch/squat, and/or twist.
• Ability to see near and far distances.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspect each unit to ensure quality.
• Unload inbound and load outbound caskets quickly, accurately, safely, and without damage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform various warehouse duties as requested.
• Operate various powered equipment efficiently and safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
