Warehouse Associate - Tracy Mid-Day Shift

About The Position

Safely and efficiently stage, load, and unload finished products and raw materials using material-handling equipment, attachments, tools, and accessories. Stock and maintain warehouse inventory and cleanliness while ensuring the safety of yourself and others. This role works a mid-day schedule of 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday and three weekdays per week, for five consecutive working days. Possible schedules include Wednesday–Sunday, Thursday–Monday, Friday–Tuesday, or Saturday–Wednesday.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification and applicable state forklift certification.
• At least 2 years of forklift experience working in a similar industry; additional education may substitute for years of work experience.
• Good oral English and written communication skills.
• Manual dexterity required to operate machinery.
• Ability to work as a team player and meet deadlines.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Clamp experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound and outbound inventory.
• Complete damage reports for products, wrapping, pallets, bundles, crates, and related items.
• Prepare and load products for transport safely and on time.
• Stage products for loading safely and on time.
• Load products onto trucks and/or railcars safely and on time.
• Move products into warehouse inventory storage safely.
• Move waste and scrap into dumpsters as needed.
• Perform quality control by identifying damaged products.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Operate sit-down forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Perform daily forklift safety checks and preventive maintenance, and report issues.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors.
• Keep the work area clean and maintained.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when it is not in use.
• Maintain a thankful, respectful, polite, and courteous attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
