Warehouse Walk-In Hiring Event – Wednesday, November 11th
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate is a full-time, task- and deadline-driven role working 40 or more hours per week, with overtime assigned as needed. The position is temporary for the first 60 days and becomes a permanent addition to staff upon successful completion of that period. The associate prepares customer orders for shipment, fills pick-ticket orders, stocks merchandise, maintains accurate inventory records, receives and counts goods, and helps identify and research inventory discrepancies. The work takes place in a merchandise warehouse or distribution center and may involve warm or cold temperatures. The successful candidate is organized, detail-oriented, able to collaborate in a fast-paced and changing environment, and able to work with minimal supervision. Other duties may be assigned, and responsibilities may expand to meet changing business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Organized with great attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk and hear.
- Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
- Physical capability to work in conditions normally associated with a merchandise warehouse or distribution center, including warm and cold temperatures.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Distribution center or warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of the apparel industry.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
- Prepare orders for shipment to customers in a timely manner.
- Fill pick-ticket orders for packing.
- Stock merchandise and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Receive goods and count units for accuracy.
- Identify and communicate potential inventory issues found while picking and packing.
- Research discrepancies and advise Management of problems as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet changing business needs.
