About The Position

The Truck Unloader at S&S Activewear will be responsible for unloading product off of trucks, following safety and related work procedures. Aside from offloading or unloading trucks, his/her job description also entails properly arranging or storing of unloaded items in the facility. Attaches identifying labels or inbound cases. The Truck Unloader team member and all employees must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

Requirements

• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
• Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
• Remain flexible to work overtime
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to wear proper safety equipment if required (examples include safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest)
• Stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs.
• Moderate Hand-Eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing is required for the operation of warehouse machinery

Responsibilities

• Unload product off of trucks
• Arrange or store unloaded items in the facility
• Attach identifying labels or inbound cases
• Inspect trucks before beginning unloading operations to make sure they are clean and safe
• Operate warehouse electrical cart safely
• Work with a sense of urgency as operations at the receiving area are time sensitive
• Follow oral and written directions of supervisors and managers to determine work assignments
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Perform other activities as assigned
• Perform general cleaning duties related to the position
• Willing to perform other duties as required
