About The Position

Fort Garry Industries (FGI) is seeking a motivated Parts Handler for their Brandon Branch. This role is crucial for maintaining warehouse operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Parts Handler will be responsible for accurately picking and filling customer orders, managing inventory, organizing stock, and retrieving items. The position involves working collaboratively with team members to provide an exceptional customer experience. Additionally, there are opportunities for cross-training in the delivery driver role and potential involvement in loading, shipping, receiving, and occasional deliveries.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience or order picker is required
High school diploma or other high school equivalency certificate or Diploma
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including daily lifting of 50 pounds or more, and occasionally lifting over 100 pounds with assistance; constant standing, walking, pushing and pulling of pallet jacks or shopping carts within FGI facilities; reaching and working at varying heights; and climbing stairs and/or ladders.
A valid driver’s license and a recent driver’s abstract demonstrating no major infractions is required
Must have open availability including Saturdays
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence

Nice To Haves

Experience operating a forklift
Using a RF scanner
Familiarity with aftermarket parts or heavy-duty parts

Responsibilities

Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse stock
Verify customer orders are correct before packaging for shipment
Assist in stocking and maintaining inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas
Re-stock shelves and move parts
Assist customers when looking for parts
Cross train to delivery driver role to provide occasional support
May assist with loading vehicles, shipping, and receiving
May occasionally deliver parts with FGI vehicles
Other duties as assigned
