About The Position

Rotech Healthcare Inc. is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Warehouse Technician to join our Transfill Division. This role plays a vital part in preparing life-sustaining oxygen for patients across the region. The position involves safely filling high-pressure oxygen cylinders, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation within a clean, organized, and safety-focused environment. This is a temporary position that pays $18.50 per hour and is eligible for bonus opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Positive attitude with a helpful and professional demeanor
  • Comfortable interpreting instructions and working with various communication tools
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Capable of performing basic math calculations
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs or more regularly
  • Comfortable with standing, walking, sitting, talking, and listening throughout the day
  • Able to load, unload, push, pull, and move equipment safely
  • Requires close vision for reading labels, paperwork, and digital screens
  • Basic knowledge of email and internet navigation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (fax, copier, printer, phone, computer)

Nice To Haves

  • One year or more of warehouse, manufacturing, or mechanical experience
  • Experience using warehouse machinery for loading and unloading
  • Understanding of home medical equipment and supplies

Responsibilities

  • Fill and prepare high-pressure oxygen tanks for delivery to healthcare locations.
  • Operate and maintain filling equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
  • Complete production and delivery documentation accurately and legibly.
  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in hazardous materials handling training.
  • Identify and report equipment hazards or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and compliant work area in accordance with company, city, and state regulations.
  • Learn and develop technical knowledge of respiratory products and durable medical equipment (DME/HME).
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and meet JCAHO standards.
  • Process orders and maintain inventory accuracy.
