About The Position

The Warehouse Associate – Inventory Control & Movement (Inventory Associate) supports warehouse operations by maintaining accurate inventory, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring proper product rotation using FIFO practices (First In, First Out). This role assists with receiving, storing, and distributing products while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana) and background check.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow directions, communicate effectively, and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
  • Willingness and ability to become certified to operate forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and ethical conduct.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse, inventory control, or distribution center experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP system, handheld RF scanners, or similar warehouse technology.
  • Inventory control or cycle count experience in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records while ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) practices are followed.
  • Move, consolidate, and organize inventory to optimize warehouse storage, picking efficiency, and bin utilization.
  • Receive, store, and accurately put away inventory, ensuring products are physically and systemically assigned to the correct warehouse locations.
  • Accurately fulfill orders using the warehouse management system (WMS/ERP), including scanning products, picking orders, and preparing shipments.
  • Safely load and unload trailers while providing excellent customer service to partner agencies, vendors, and internal customers.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and scissor lifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work collaboratively with receiving, picking, and other operations teams to support daily warehouse activities and changing operational needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe warehouse by following sanitation standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform work in refrigerated and freezer environments, including temperatures below 0°F, while adhering to all safety procedures.
