About The Position

The Kitting Dispatcher coordinates the systematic release, staging, and issuance of material requirements for production orders. The role converts production demand into accurate, timely pick-list activity in SAP, monitors order readiness, and resolves or escalates exceptions before they disrupt warehouse execution or production. This position requires strong system discipline, urgency, attention to detail, and effective coordination with warehouse, planning, production, and supporting functions.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills, including use of standard office applications, and electronic communication tools.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Ability to organize competing priorities, work with urgency, and follow through to resolution.
  • Ability to meet the physical and schedule requirements of the warehouse environment, including use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Resolve routine staging and pick-list exceptions independently by following standard work and validating available system and physical information.
  • Prioritize work based on production schedule, material criticality, and operational impact.
  • Escalating when an issue cannot be resolved within the expected response time requires another function to make a correction, or creates risk to production, inventory accuracy, quality, or safety.
  • Experience working with inventory, material flow, kitting, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and willingness to investigate before escalating.

Responsibilities

  • Review released production orders and stage material requirements in SAP according to the production order, using ZLOCO27 or the approved site transaction/process.
  • Issue production pick lists in the correct sequence and timing to support the production schedule and warehouse workload.
  • Validate that pick-list parts process accordingly and trouble shoot warehouse task that do not process (Replenishment, change of bin, etc.)
  • Monitor whether required outbound delivery numbers have been generated on time and follow up with the appropriate owner when they are missing or delayed.
  • Investigate system and inventory exceptions that prevent material from being staged or picked up, including stock shortages, incorrect bins, blocked stock.
  • Create required Symmetry barriers and document issues in the applicable system or escalation channel.
  • Coordinate with material handlers, kitters, team leaders, planning, production, and other support functions to clarify priorities and remove barriers.
  • Escalate unresolved or high-risk issues promptly, providing the production order, material number, quantity, impact, actions already taken, and the support needed.
  • Maintain accurate and traceable SAP transactions; avoid manual workarounds or system actions that could create inventory discrepancies.
  • Communicate changes in priorities, shortages, or order readiness clearly to the affected teams.
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring kitting, inventory, or transaction issues.
  • Follow all site safety requirements, standard work, quality expectations, and housekeeping practices; identify and report unsafe conditions.
  • Support cross-training, process improvements, and additional warehouse activities within tech II or tech III level as business needs require.
