Warehouse Associate II - Seasonal Flex
About The Position
Cardinal Health is hiring a seasonal flex Warehouse Associate II to support warehouse operations based on business volume. Flex workers primarily provide coverage on high-volume days, for planned time off, and during periods of high call-offs. Shifts may vary by location and week. The position requires one advance-scheduled mandatory shift each week; any additional available shifts are optional. The listed schedule is Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or until work is finished, with an additional 8–29 hours per week available based on the worker’s preferences and available shifts. The anticipated end date is January 22, 2027. The anticipated pay rate is $19.00 per hour, based on experience and including shift differential. The role is bonus-ineligible. Paid time off is provided in compliance with applicable laws. Warehouse Operations performs manual or automated tasks for receiving, storing, and shipping products. Work may include receiving products and fulfilling, packaging, and shipping orders in line with team goals and on-time delivery requirements. Training is provided starting on the first day, and candidates with little to no warehouse experience are welcome. Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working at heights up to 30 feet.
- Ability to work in cold climates, such as a freezer or refrigerator.
- Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with technology such as computers or point-of-sale systems.
- Warehouse experience; however, candidates with little to no warehouse experience are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality-control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
- Perform housekeeping and inventory-control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Train and become certified to operate material-handling equipment as required by job duties.
