About The Position

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. This role is a part-time position with a work schedule of Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The work location is Cardinal Health, 3000 Mark IV Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76106, in a climate-controlled facility. The anticipated hourly range is $18.36 - $21.11 based on experience. Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 1 - 2 years related experience preferred
  • Previous material handling experience (MHE) preferred, but willing to learn to operate MHE
  • Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 5 hours required
  • Must be ready, willing and able to work entire shift
  • Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently
  • Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Unloading trucks in the Inbound section by using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to put pallets out of the trucks.
  • Using Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products.
  • If working with specialty products, must follow regulations to store refrigerated products.
  • Storing products in warehouse locations using order picker or other devices.
  • Picking products from warehouse locations and loads into outbound trucks.
  • Cross-training in multiple departments: Inbound, Replenishment and Outbound
  • Breaking down cases of product and operate PIT equipment to stock or replenish warehouse
  • Utilizing voice to pick system to pick large case items with material handling equipment or to pick small unit of measure items and place on cart
  • Ensuring high quality through attention to detail and correctly identify products by item number
  • Organizing and segregate similar items at point of receipt
  • Breaking down and palletizing large items to skid and wrap for shipment
  • Packing and correctly label small items in boxes or bags
  • Driving material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes: order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider
