For more information, please visit www.odysseylogistics.com Position: Warehouse Operator Location: Pearl City, HI Division: Integrated Marine Logistics Affi Affiliate: Odyssey Hawaii Department: 7200 – Warehouse & Terminals Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Summary / Primary Role: The position of Warehouse Operator will have primary responsibility to handle the movement of product within the facility. This is accomplished by either making it ready for delivery to our customers or putting away freight received by our customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Six months related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of staff, customers, peers and management.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Hazardous Material certification
  • Forklift certification – if operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying freight on pallets and sorting them correctly by manifest/ customer order.
  • Reviewing freight for accuracy.
  • Verifying shipment counts.
  • Locating missing freight.
  • Loading and unloading freight.
  • Properly completing the Manifest paperwork related to each piece/pallet of freight.
  • Take exceptions on product as necessary- document and take pictures as needed.
  • Take inventory of trailers in the yard on a daily basis.
  • Assist in pre-loading of bob-tail trucks.
  • Maintenance of forklift as needed. Daily requirement to pre-trip and post-trip forklift before/after use and advise of any problems with the equipment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • General warehouse maintenance.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.
