Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to use and/or learn proper forklift operation.
  • Ability to read and understand order forms and serial numbers.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal/non-verbal instructions.
  • Hardworking, dependable individual with a team player attitude.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial driving experience.
  • Flatbed experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse duties including material handling, receiving, shipping, cleaning, and customer service.
  • Operate forklift and crane safely in outside yard and warehouse.
  • Accurately process incoming orders and stage material for customer viewing and truck loading.
  • Inspect, count, and verify all materials/products received against paperwork, noting any discrepancies.
  • Sign off on all orders and obtain cross-checks with co-workers/supervisors.
  • Load and unload material onto trucks safely and accurately.
  • Secure all slabs on trucks using safety straps and chains.
  • Safely move and secure bundles in the warehouse.
  • Tag and identify material as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including disposing of excess wood.
  • Perform quality control inspections on materials.
  • Operate forklifts and hoists following safety policies and using required PPE.
  • Communicate with co-workers to ensure safety and teamwork.
  • Adhere to all Company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Transport products from the facility to customer sites safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Manually move freight, stock, or other materials, or perform other general labor.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections.
  • Handle paperwork concerning delivery orders.
  • Submit reports of damages.
  • Maintain professional representation of Architectural Surfaces in all customer interactions and through responsible driving.
  • Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, fuel purchases, and mileage records.
