About The Position

Hood Distribution is hiring a Warehouse Associate/Cabinet Assembler at its Cabinet Shop location in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. The role divides time between warehouse work (60%) and building and assembling cabinets (40%). The position requires working with minimal supervision and may include additional duties as assigned.

The company is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber, plywood, and related specialty products, with 23 locations serving the eastern United States and Caribbean markets. Salary is $19.00–$20.00. Benefits are available the first of the month following completion of one month of continuous full-time employment. Applicants must consent to a background check and drug screen; offers are contingent on meeting background-check standards and passing the required drug test. Hired candidates must provide documentation of their legal right to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Good math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Forklift experience.

Nice To Haves

• One year of warehouse operations experience.
• One year of warehouse distribution experience.
• One year of cabinet assembly or similar woodworking experience.
• Knowledge of lumber and/or plywood.
• Forklift certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Work with minimal supervision.
• Load and unload trailers using a forklift.
• Build and assemble cabinets, which accounts for approximately 40% of the role.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
