About The Position

Viking Electric is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate & Back-Up Delivery Driver to join their team. This hybrid role supports daily warehouse operations while also stepping in to assist with local customer deliveries when needed. The associate will play a key role in ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, and shipped—and safely delivered to customers. Viking Electric offers electrical products and services to contractors and operates throughout the Midwest. They are part of the Sonepar group, a global electrical distributor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Motor Vehicle Policy requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Able to obtain a DOT Medical Card
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Class D or higher License required
  • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and delivery vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move materials safely using manual methods or powered industrial equipment
  • Receive, count, check, and process incoming and outgoing materials
  • Pick, pack, label, palletize, and route materials for delivery or storage
  • Complete paperwork and data entry using warehouse systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Deliver materials to customers safely and efficiently on multi-stop routes
  • Load/unload delivery vehicles using proper equipment and techniques
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
  • Assist with routing coordination and provide feedback for efficiency improvements
