About The Position

The Warehouse Associate and Backup Delivery Driver position involves performing warehouse duties such as using an RF scanning system to stock and pull materials, equipment, and other items for shipping or delivery. Additionally, this role includes truck driving duties as needed, such as delivering material, product, and equipment within the sales territory for the distribution center. The ideal candidate must be over 19 years old to drive, possess a valid driver's license with a clear 7-year driving record, and be comfortable with physical demands.

Requirements

Must have a clean 7-year driving history with no DWI
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Comfortable walking and standing for more than 80% of the work day.
Ability to read a map and follow directions to customer sites
Must be able to drive a sit down forklift.
Good knowledge of basic math and reading skills
Active listening skills to contribute to effective communication.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Current Driver's License with no DWI/DUI (Required)

Responsibilities

Examines pallet loads and package contents to compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
Confers and corresponds with supervisors or sales representatives to resolve problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications.
Stocks material, equipment, and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
Pulls orders and stages material in the shipping or delivery area in the warehouse, using work devices, such as hand-trucks, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse.
Makes deliveries daily to customers in the sales territory in an efficient manner, minimizing the time away from the warehouse while driving the vehicle in a safe & courteous manner.
Reports any mechanical issues with the delivery vehicle to the supervisor immediately.
Delivers or routes materials to the shipping or delivery area in the warehouse, using work devices, such as hand-trucks, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
