About The Position

Cavalier Distributing is seeking an Assistant Team Lead for the pick team on 2nd shift. This part-time position operates Monday through Thursday, approximately 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The role involves assisting the supervisor in ensuring the pick team stays on track to complete nightly picks, stepping in for the supervisor during absences, training new employees, and helping to maintain a positive, respectful, and safe environment. The job offers an opportunity to stay in shape while picking great beer, potentially negating the need for a gym membership.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required.
Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to process information/merchandise.
Ability to communicate with supervisor.
Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
The ability to safely, frequently and independently move and handle product generally weighing 0 - 165 pounds.
Must have own reliable mode of transportation.

Responsibilities

Pull orders from pick ticket.
Check quality of product prior to pulling order. Report poor quality items to management.
Stack, wrap, and label pallets correctly for each customer to ensure proper routing.
Stage pallets for loading.
Assist Supervisor in training pick team, resolving issues, and keeping team productivity at a high level.
Cover for supervisor during absences.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
Operate a pallet jack and two wheeler.
Maintain adherence to all Cavalier Company policies and procedures.
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
