The Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for assisting in the oversight and coordination of all warehouse functions on our 2nd Shift Pick/Pack/Ship Operation. Essential Job Functions: Assists and make decisions in the daily operations to identify and resolve problem areas. Assists and manages all personnel to ensure they are trained, working effectively and are working to the highest level of accuracy. Assist the manager and make decisions with inventory accuracy functions. Identifies and suggests improvements to warehouse processes and procedures for optimizing cost reductions, customer service, productivity, and safety enhancements. Assist in managing and make decisions security and access to the facility. Assist in monitoring the general maintenance and upkeep of the facility, procurement and supplies. Promotes a safe work environment, upholding company safety policies and procedures. Must serve as the lead when the Manager is out of the building. Assist the manager and other employees with: Inventory Control, Picking, Packing, and Shipping of daily orders. Assist in training and supervising the employee base. Be certified as a train the trainer on moving equipment. Position : Must understand and know all functions of Receiving, Put-Away, Inventory Control, Picking, Packing, Cycle Counting, Returns and Shipping of daily orders. Other duties as assigned. Note – this is an assistant manager level position with authority to make disciplinary or managerial decisions such as, but not limited to: hiring, terminating, disciplining, resolving conflicts or attendance of other employees in accordance with manager. Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of experience leading and managing in a team environment
  • Basic Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Oracle knowledge is a plus
