We’re hiring an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support daily warehouse operations and lead a high-performing team in Kansas City, MO. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, reliable, and on-time delivery while maintaining operational excellence, safety standards, and inventory accuracy. Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of warehouse or distribution center management experience
- Experience developing and managing SOPs
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, RF warehousing, and material handling equipment
- Strong computer proficiency (spreadsheets, inventory systems, UPS tracking)
- Knowledge of freight regulations and safety management
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to analyze data and develop reports
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Responsibilities
- Support and oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, put-away, and flow patterns
- Lead and develop warehouse team members to ensure productivity and accountability
- Maintain accurate inventory and appropriate stocking levels
- Collect and analyze operational data; provide recommendations to management
- Implement and improve systems and warehouse processes
- Develop and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Maintain the physical condition and organization of the warehouse
- Support and manage warehouse-related projects
