About The Position

Headquartered in Missouri, we provide pneumatic compression devices and personalized service. As a family-owned company, we take pride in delivering expert support and personal service. The Warehouse Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and managing pneumatic compression devices and related accessories. Working in a warehouse or depot environment, the technician ensures that all equipment is sanitized, calibrated, and compliant with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations before being shipped. This role, reporting to the team’s Managers, will require an exceptional level of detail, strong service acumen, and an emphasis on process execution and quality control.
Requirements
- Familiarity with electromechanical systems, particularly pneumatic systems (pumps, valves, airflow).
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test instruments (e.g., multimeters).
- Basic computer proficiency is necessary, and familiarity with specific healthcare software or systems may be required depending on the role. Ability to read and interpret manufacturer manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Good hand-eye coordination for delicate repairs and assembling small parts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: To interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently and as a team member, take direction and participate in Continuous Education as required for the role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills: To manage a high volume of tasks and ensure timely processing of information.
- Attention to detail: To ensure accuracy in records and reporting information. Ability to multitask and prioritize duties to support delivery timelines.
- DOT Certification: required for roles involving transportation and shipping logistics.
- Forklift Certification: current certification required at the time of interview.
- Problem-solving skills: To address any issues or challenges that may arise during the work process.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds, must be able to lift 40 pounds from the floor and lift to waist level.
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, climb stairs and reach with hands and arms.
- Reliable work transportation.
- Candidates must pass an extensive background check including drug screening.
- Strict adherence to HIPAA, Medicare Fraud, Waste, and Abuse and privacy regulations in all patient interactions.
Nice To Haves
- An Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a similar technical field is preferred.
- Previous experience in repairing medical devices (Durable Medical Equipment) or similar electromechanical equipment is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, sterilization, and testing of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect new and returned medical equipment, verifying that they meet safety and operational standards.
- Maintain precise, detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections, often using computerized inventory systems. Accurately record all issues and resolutions within the designated CRM system, adhering to privacy and compliance standards.
- Manage replacement parts inventory, including receiving, storing, and ordering necessary supplies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, safety standards, and internal policies. Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and internal policies, especially those related to external DME under ISO 13485.
