About The Position

This role is crucial for managing warehouse operations with a consumer-centric approach. Key responsibilities include material handling, loading/unloading, inventory management, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The technician will operate various warehouse equipment, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a smooth workflow.

  • Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP) to manage business operations for supply chain management (WMS).
  • Proficient in Yard Management Systems to optimize flow of raw materials and finished goods.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count finished goods, raw materials, and other goods.
  • Loading and unloading materials from trucks.
  • Stacking and organizing items in correct storage bays and sections, following inventory control instructions.
  • Conducting quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials, verifying quantities, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Performing daily safety inspections of the forklift and reporting any defects.
  • Performing minor maintenance tasks as needed to keep equipment in order.
  • Ensuring that loads are properly secured and balanced on the forklift before transportation.
  • Adhering to all company safety guidelines, regulations, and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate logs, records, and reports related to material movements, inventory levels, and damaged goods.
  • Reporting any damaged materials, shortages, or mechanical issues to supervisors.
  • Communicating with other warehouses and production to ensure a smooth workflow.
